through the various apps that will help you track, train, and monitor your
progress over time. There are applications for calorie counting, yoga, running,
and anything and everything in between.
No motivation to get to the gym one day? Download a personal
training app and be pushed to your limits right there in the comfort of your
own home.
Can quite figure out proper form for a new lift? There’s
surely an app that will show you the ropes.
Are you kicking butt in the gym but struggling with your
diet? Count calories and track your macros with a simple to use app.
The possibilities are endless really, and businesses are
undeniably benefiting from having a presence on the app store in this
industry.

MyFitnessPal is an app by Under Armor that claims to be the fastest,
easiest way to count calories. It’s rated in the app store with 4.5 stars and
has been named the #1 health and fitness app for 4 straight years. For Under
Armor to have its brand attached to such a power house is a great move for
business. In fact, when you sign up in MyFitnessPal with your email, that is
Under Armor’s go ahead to start emailing you with deals and offers. Not a bad
move for their marketing team. Not bad at all.
2) Nike + Training Club
This app is rated 4+ stars in the app store. It features workouts
anytime, anywhere and claims to be your ultimate personal trainer. The app
offers workouts for all levels- beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes.
AND you can be coached and motivated by some of the most well-respected athletes
of our generation… Think Kyrie Irving, Serena Williams, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
3) All Day
Yet another 4+ rated app, this time from Adidas. The app assists the
users my monitoring movement, nutrition, mindfulness, and sleep all to
contribute to a more well-rounded, better lifestyle. Arguably very similar to
the aforementioned apps, but still a good example of how a big-name brand
utilizes an app to be a strong presence in the fitness community.
A mobile presence is crucial today, as we are constantly on
the go, lacking time, and interested in getting information quickly and on our
own time. These apps provide the perfect solution to all of those issues as
they relate to fitness.
